Jen's Path of Happyness: Fall

Fall was awesome around here. Mathew was older so we played outside more in the leaves and got to explore more stuff.

Anniversary:

John and I celebrated four years together by visiting the Great Wolf Lodge and water park in Petoskey. Also, I got a spa massage and a night to myself at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa the same weekend. It was really nice to just rest and do what I wanted.

We all really enjoyed the Lodge and waterpark. Mathew liked to sit in the kiddy pool and hot tubs.

CMU Football starts:

Mathew finally got to wear his Central gear on game days. We never actually made it to a game but we cheered them on in spirit!

Fort Fright:

I was finally able to go to Fort Fright in Mack City. Funny cause people at work said it was just people in period costumes with games and cider. That is what I told John and felt bad as I realized it was not just what I said but demons and ghosts and a haunted house... He was mad and felt mislead. I was happy as I thought it was fun! Good for the season and I got spoked during Halloween time!

Last of the warm days:

We visited Cheboygan State park on the last day the temps were over 60. It was a beautiful day for a picnic! And Mathew decided to take a little jaunt in the lake! He also climbed the tall slide all by himself (with dad and mom close by)!

Daddy had to catch him before he went too far. I am sure he would have kept going out to the deep end!

Leaves:

Mathew fell in love with things falling on his head... Especially leaves. He was so cute one evening we were out playing in the leaves. I think he likes fall. The trees looked beautiful this fall - the drive to church was never so enjoyable!

Carving pumpkins:

To get ready for the Boat Halloween party, John got a pumpkin. We decided to carve Woodstock in ours! Mathew helped for a bit but left the hardest part for us. We didn't win the contest but did have the best matching costumes.
