Married Life...last of 2009

so here is a little picture collage of the rest of 2009
fall: john was deployed 6 of the first 8 weeks we were married, so i had to find other things to do besides miss him. apple picking is a big thing around the fall in new england.

being domesticated: cannot pass up making an apple pie after apple picking. i realized that being married helps you want to set up a nice home, cook, and keep things clean. maybe it was just natural...but i am very thankful that john likes to cook. snowboarding: john got me a board for my birthday and we went a couple times that winter. we went to a different mountain each time. nice, active, but expensive hobbythanksgiving: john was home for thanksgiving but i still ended up working the next day. our travel was limited so we stayed home. we were invited to hang with friends and got to watch detriot lose (a tradition with my family). we wanted to see if we could make our own turkey, so we did! the picture shows how good it turned out...

Christmas: we went to my sister Kr that year in New Jersey. it was fun to be with family and we enjoyed watching my nephew Pe open gifts. he was spoiled that year being the only little kid. Kr gave john and i Dinah, her silky terrier for a gift. apparently she wasn't acting very nice to Pe so she thought he would be safer if Dinah was with us. Kr knows we like dogs, so it was alright. john and i also bought a flatt screen TV that year so most of our gifts were stocking stuffers. new years: this time was spent together with dinah and our new TV and a WII!!! i made my mom's famous cheeseball and we toasted with sparkling grape juice!
