One month

My how time flies - little Bug was one month in no time. After my parents left, John and I had a few weeks to ourselves with him. Then John left for about a week and a half - I was alone with a newborn.


May 11th - 8 days old

I was nervous but we settled into a good routine and set up some nice habits. Mathew became a great sleeper at night and a good napper during the day. He ate well - spit it all up - and pooped!  Oh the joys of raising an infant!  He eventually started to smile and I began to see his own personality. His after eating face, his pucker lips (shown below), his 'mommy hold me, why did you leave me' face, and his peaceful sleeping face. He became mine and we finally bonded...



This picture is similar to his birth announcement picture. John found a floor mat in a Harvard Square shop and had to buy it. We placed Mat on it and took our own pictures for his birth announcement - I thought to continue this at one month. He is more animated at June 3rd that he was at May 9th of course, so I got this pose.
It still amazes me that I have a little one - something that we created: John, me, and God!
