A simple project

My first night out when John returned was with the local MOPs group at the craft store. I worked on this project for our house. I have have always wanted more scripture verses to display in our house but never found a way to do it. I thought this project was a pefect opportunity! 

First I modge podged the top of

The canvas with red poke-a-dot paper. I should have torn it into smaller pieces and then used the modge podge but I had limited time. This part would show through once you remove the stickers.

This was the quote we choose and how the stickers looked before it was applied. i had to be really careful to make sure the bottom part was dry AND the words were placed correctly. 

This is how it looked like with the words on. I then painted it over with white paint. I should have added multiple coats but again, I had limited time. I may still repaint it! 

This is the boring part - pealing off the letter after the paint dried. It was fun to reveal the layer underneath though. 

I didn't think the letter showed very well so I trace the outline in blue sharpy. I thought it made the letters and star shapes pop more. 

Here is the finished project. Again will probably end up painting another white layer. 

I did have a great time out.
