so first idaho: i went with john to meet his family and hike in the great outdoors of idaho the second to last week of june. it was great fun and i met his sister debra and his parents. we all had fun camping and even hiking ten miles in one day. what a trip...

second engagement: john proposed on july 9, 2009 on a random motorcylce trip to marblehead, ma lighthouse just two days after meeting my dad. i knew something was up, but he threw me off a bit stating "well, you need a ring first". he suprised me at work with flowers, ate at wendy's, and drove forever that night. he brought the camera to take pictures of his new triumph (bonny), but he ended up getting pictures of the whole proposal. all he simply said, while kneeling, was "will you marry me?" and all i said, in utter shock, was "of course i will". that was it - the ring is beautiful and so simple that it just fits...

third is graduation: i am done... done at mass eye and ear... done being a student... and just done... i had the ceremony just on sunday. my degree was conferred on july 31, 2009 and i don't feel any differently than i did then, however, i do feel finalized in a way. finalized that i don't have to go back to south florida other than if i want to, finalized in paper work or school work... finalized in being officially done. it was a wonderful ceremony and my parents and john were there. my parents seemed really proud in their silent way and john kept saying "thanks for letting me share the good part"...he was much suprised on how fancy it all was.

well, on to the fourth now - wedding plans: things are coming along nicely... st. george on sept 11, 2009 with a luncheon reception that saturday. then three days in vegas and then back to start work on the 17th....
strange how much a life can change in a year...
